Ottawa & Kingston
I am looking forward to two book-related events coming up later this week. On Thursday, March 5, I will be in Ottawa at Octopus Books (details here). If you’re in the Ottawa region come out and join us for a moderated discussion followed by a Q & A, starting at 7pm. And on Friday, March 6, I will be in Kingston for a talk at Queen’s University, hosted by The Equity and Women’s Concerns Committee of the Department of Philosophy (details here), in Room 306, McLaughlin Hall, from 2-4 pm. Hope to see you at one of these events!
Hooray!
One Hour in Paris has won the 2015 British Columbia National Award for Canadian Non-Fiction. The award was announced at a luncheon ceremony in Vancouver last Friday. I am thrilled that the book has received this recognition and, as I talked about with the Globe and Mail’s Marsha Lederman following the ceremony, happy for the attention that this brings to the issues at its heart.
